Homework assignment: Ask your children what they are listening to and come back w/ a song.
They like Journey, Maroon5, and Adele so they can't help.

Not the PP by my kids will come back with "The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, etc". None of them are rap music kids. They prefer classic rock. My oldest doesn't think good music was made after 1990 and that some of the 80s were debatable.

I like all of those songs except for Tom Ford. It's not a good look, too formulaic and shallow. Jay Z sounds like an old man trying to stay relevant.
I think that an artist like Drake or 2 Chainz could have pulled it off.

So are Dr. J and Moses Malone.
I like slam dunks and taking it to the hoop.
My favorite play is the alley oop.
I like the pick and roll, the give and go.

Do you not realize that rap is an entire genre of music that goes back back decades and includes a wide variety of artists and styles?
I love rap and hip-hop.
I don't like violence, mysogony, or the big money glorification.
So guess what I do?
I don't listen to that STYLE of rap?
I can like rap and not listen to Tip Drill -- the very thought makes me ill.
