You posting this tells me nothing about SSSAS, and lots about you. Where do your children go to school?

I think this response proves the nasty culture at SSSAS. Catholic schools students leave their thin skin at the door.

Whether it's deserved or not, NCS has a reputation of having a culture of mean girls.

Well, there are 2-3 posters who post almost continuously trying to give it this reputation. The sheer obsession and the fact that at least obe of them attended 20 years ago tends to undermine their message, however. It's hard to know where the truth is.

Oh my, you are so wrong, it's a generally held view of everyone I know . . . hundreds of people. And yes I've been there and no way would I send my DD there. My friends are all in agreement. One tried - for a year. Nasty

Hundreds of people? Funny. I have friends whose dds go there, and only a few of them have mentioned any kind of drama at all. They seem to think their dds are getting a great education.

But then, I haven't asked "hundreds" of people, much less everyone I know, to weigh in on the question. It is beyond crazy that you have.

WES (nursery-8th grade) has a an emphasis of helping kids to become more considerate and tolerant of each other. As a parent I have occasionally witnessed upper grades helping younger students, especially at the extended day.

Sheridan has been a very kind and nurturing environment that's helped our shy child thrive.

I'm glad that's your experience PP. However, my experience is I can always guess which of the new kids at my DCs school came from SJE because they are nasty! However, these kids may have transferred schools because they didn't fit at SJE because they are nasty. Who knows. The school appears to be an extremely competitive.

I second Sandy Spring...as someone who works in the field of education (and as a parent of a student there), SSFS has distinguished itself to me as particularly warm and nurturing, and my child LOVES it there!

Sandy Spring might work for you. It has been a wonderful community for our children.

I'm afraid Norwood has changed a lot since you left. Many students have decided to move to other private schools this year. As for music, the Middle School chorus and bells teacher, who was excellent, left.

How does an anonymous posting tell you "lots" about anyone?
