Does Christianity teach the fear of God? Judaism does not teach its followers to fear God. Judaism is more than a set of rules.
I thought Judaism teaches that God will reward the good and punish the wicked and the dead will be resurrected.
We don't focus on it. Judaism has no single official statements to make about the afterlife. There are plenty of references throughout our texts, but there's no single answer we are supposed to believe.
I know in a Christian context, this makes little sense, but it really isn't that important to the day to day of being a Jew.
We are supposed to be good, to ourselves, each other and the planet. But the only real reason is "because we are supposed to, that's why."
