It is my understanding that grants and money from the feds depends on its adoption, however. Please correct me if I am wrong.
The common core is developed and voluntarily adopted by states.

Can I assume, therefore, that you are a staunch supporter of DC budget autonomy and an opponent of the federal government's interference into DC local affairs? For instance, you are all for DC voters deciding it own abortion, gun, and drug laws?
Yes.

Not a single friend of mine has mentioned this on FB. They aren't on the Wackadoodle alert system.
I'm not sure who you're referring to as the "Wackadoodle" set. Judging by your ignorance, I'm going to assume you're trying to demean supporters of the Tea Party. Further judging your ignorance, you can click below and see that I'm correct.
These are not tea partiers, they are teachers, who also strongly oppose CC.

Yes...teachers' unions have been at odds with the Obama administration, other Democrats, and ed reformers in general on a number of issues. What's your point? There are a number of Republicans who do support CC and actually many of Obama's ed priorities. It's nice to see some bipartisanship somewhere, although it's more at the state level than at the national.
