Alcohol/drug problems in any HS. These two are no different. You just need to make sure your kid is not the one doing it.
while this is true, at least none of the other MCPS HS Principals felt that the problem was so bad they had to send a letter to all the parents reminding them that it is illegal and bad to provide alcohol to teens (Whitman) and had a parent let the kids drink in their home, and then subsequently, some kid drove drunk and killed his friends (Wootton).
It happens at every school. The Whitman principal is just trying to cut down on it. Seems like a better choice than ignoring the issue.

So you are telling me the housing market is the same in the RM district than in Wootoon and Whitman? You are talking out of your ass.

Went to school in Silver Spring many years ago and there were plenty of drugs and alcohol for those who wanted it. It's total BS that only the "rich" kids have it. I also completely agree with the discussion on housing prices. We live near the edge of the Churchill district and my house re-sales for almost $200,000 more than the exact same cookie cutter house in some Rockville neighborhoods. I agree it's absurd, but its true and its why we bought in Churchill years ago instead of down the road a little ways.

You can look at the housing market and know that this is simply not true. Wootton cluster starts around 6-700 for a SFH. There are many homes priced at and above this price in RM cluster, and they have no problem selling.
The same exact house in Wooton goes for about $200K more than RM. They also go up in value quicker. They also sell quicker.
