I can, but he usually jumps right back in which is even more disruptive. He doesn't really take no for an answer. If I close a door, he will paw at it till he is allowed in. I suppose if I were to snuggle with him that would be enough to keep him away from her, but nap time is when I get things done. Maybe it is time to suck it up and get a video monitor or angelcare mat.

Well this is just unbelievably cute. I would however agree with some PPs...remove the cat once she's asleep. I am a cat person but the one time I found one of our 3 cats in DS's crib I freaked out! The cat was sleeping so sweetly with his head resting on DS shoulder, so it was kinda cute but still, eeks. I'm paranoid about accidental smothering. I also don't like the idea of cat fur on my baby's crib sheets. That's just me though.

I don't think I would allow it for many of the reasons PP's suggested, not to mention DH would be super-pissed because he hates the cat (he's allergic).

Wait, do you all live together? Why did the poor man agree to having a cat if he's allergic?

Poor kitty.

Once your baby is sound asleep can you lure/pick up the cat and take it out the crib if you're too worried about smothering or hair tickling nose?

I'd make that deal!

I am very sorry to hear about your relative, PP. Glad a little baby love was able to brighten your day.

OP, Cat has same coloring as Dewey the library cat. Give us the background of how this twosome came about. You should sell this pic to a cat food co., it would pay for her college.

I have an elderly relative who is probably not going to make it and this pic. made my heart happy. Thanks for posting.

Thanks. You don't think she needs highlights?

Maybe just a squeeze or two of lemon juice and some self tanner just to give her that summer glow.

Very beautiful baby. The picture a adorable. I would be very nervous and would probably check on her from time to time.

Oh I love! My one year old is obsessed with our cat and crawls into his cat bed and curves her body around him - she also will suck his tail if we don't catch her fast enough. What can you do with an animal lover?
