I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Waitlists continue to move even into September.

PS3 parent here ... Our # is in the 60s, so that means a waitlist # in the low 20s. Is there hope?
Our results at other schools (we really preferred spanish immersion) wee in the 3-500s!

I was told by the principal that once a sibling is accepted then the remaining sibling moves to the top of the waitlist. We have the best WL numbers at this school and it was one of my top three so I am really hoping we make it in.

Glad to hear more great things about the 3rd grade teacher--my son was accepted. Not so for my K son. Waiting to see what happens since the list doesn't appear to reflect siblings who have been accepted...

Current PS3 parent here, we are in the new (to ITS) this year teacher's class. She is wonderful--patient, great sense of humor, creative. I'd be happy with either of the PS teachers. Plus, the quality of the teaching residents is really amazing. We are very happy at ITS...happy to answer any questions I can.

Agreed. Plus IT had the move which caused others to not move with.

There were a lot of new spots as CM opened, MV added a class (and was a smaller school so less sibilngs), CapCity had major expansion. This opened up a lot of new spots - and a select number of families were lucky enough to have more than one option.
This year the combined number of expansion spots are significantly less. I expect you will hear from fewer friends that they won spots at multiple charter schools like families did last year and the year before. There will still be movement - but I predict a lot less.

So, how many kids are in the current 3rd grade? 10 new were accepted, does that mean they are losing 10 kids or splitting into two sections?
