I've heard that you can speak to your middle school, and that schools have made exceptions to the 91% requirement.

FCPS does not give letter grades in elementary school and does not give A+....

Depends on the middle school and how much lower than 91 the score was on the IAAT.

Different poster. DC got 90; is good at Math and we were just back from vacation. Is there any flexibility?

Did the results for IAAT taken in Jan 2017 already came in? I thought they will mail it in Mar/Apr time frame.

Talk to your kid's teacher because every kid is different. Just make sure you are not setting him up for frustration. Again only you and your kid's teacher can really know whether he should go into algebra without meeting the benchmark

how does Longfellow MS work with everything being good (meaning meeting all criteria - AAP Math, sol pass advanced, and 4 or A+ in Final grades) except a 91% IAAT score? Is there flexibility to still take Algebra 1? thanks!

No.

+100. No matter how good your kid is, they can't be better than 100% of the kids. That would mean that they are better than themselves. Time to expect a little less from DC.
