Are you kidding? Making such a suggestion shows such a lack of judgement. It shows an arrogance. Those things lead to a lack of confidence in his performance. It makes folks ask, "So where else is he attempting to circumvent the rules?" He comes off as someone who says, "It's my way or the highway." No one, and I mean no one is that good. Anyone with a head that big and such poor judgement needs to go.

They were too stupid or arrogant to actually read[i] the stipulation and understand that the stipulation comes with a stipulation that STILL makes Trogisch and DCPS look like poor decision makers. That stipulation says that the government head can only appoint a relative in an emergency situation and that family member can serve for no more than 30 days (ie: until they can find someone else).

DCPS thought they had Rhee-like powers to do whatever the hell they want.

Only problem is that 1) She usually did whatever the hell she wanted in the best interest of the students (as misguided as some of her ideas may have been) 2) She wasn't stupid enough to try to bring in her husband or beau to work under her. 3) Fenty's blind support of her was never in conflict with the ethics policy.

Trogisch and wife thought they were going to run that FS-SWW merger in Fenty/Rhee style. That woman would've been a true TERROR to work under with her husband as her unwavering backup. Together they would've been HORRIBLE. Just look at the nerve of her asking that resumes be sent to her--a classroom teacher at another school who hadn't even applied for the job!!!

They should both be dusting off their resumes this weekend and getting them ready to send out by Monday.

They need to GO!

I agree. It sounds like he's a good educator and made for a good school leader at SWW, but this shows POOR, POOR judgement and a lack of integrity.

I think his success went to his head, to the point that he felt he could do anything--loudly and boldly.

You nailed it on the head- that's exactly what's happened.

Trogish keeps digging. This is a scandal and it distracts from what was already a challenging job (merging Walls and FF). It's a shame as it sounds like he is a good educator.

Husband and wife pairings are not the problem.

Two married teachers in the same building isn't a problem.

A teacher or any subordinate (including assistant principal) married to the principal IS a problem.

He already thinks she's the best thing to ever happen to education AND he's sleeping with her every night. Can you imagine being a parent or teacher with a concern about that woman? Who would you go to? The principal???? HA! Good luck with that one!
