Uhm, no.

Get your own job. Really. You people are worse than the military wives of the 1950s that wore their husbands' rank.

Oh, stop, really. You are like a broken record. My mother was a WAC in the 50's and she had to leave when she got pregnant. She loved being a mom and raised three wonderful women. She and Dad have been married for sixty years now and it was always their money, not his. WE killed it, baby!

How have you any idea whether this person works or not. OP here and I clarified the major misconception I SAH. In fact I can retire in less than 8 years. And anyway so what if she works or doesn't- she still contributes, just not to the W2.

Haha! You are so bitter, PP, it oozes from you.

I kind of want to throw up right now as I freak out about how to pay for summer camp while also paying rent on my $57k salary. Good lord. No wonder so many posters on this board think anyone making less than $200K is poverty stricken.

Must be a top firm. The "tip top," I'm sure.

Not sure if its "tip top". What are your guesses and I'll let you know if you're right. It is a very good firm, though.

I think it's sad you don't have any actual friends you can share this with.

Speaks a lot about you as a person that you had to brag to an anonymous forum when your family got good financial news.

I'm guessing it's because you've ruined your friendships due to your (obvious) personality flaws.

Nope tons of close friends going back 2+ decades. None of my friends work in or have spouses in big law so therefore can't shed light on the situation. Plenty of lawyer friends, but all are non-profit, or public sector. Looking for people who can shed light on this and clearly you're not one of them.

My draw was about $2.3M. Thats about 30% higher than last year.

Sweet! We're way ahead of the vast majority of people on the planet, BUT, since you're earning more than me you must be an awful person in a miserable marriage whose kids hate you. Nah, I won't be that hater. You're doing great and I wish I was doing so well. Cheers!

You're not allowed on DCUM!! not only do you have a good attitude, but a sense of humor as well! Why hasn't Jeff banned you yet? Good for you!

She's allowed on DCUM because she's a friendless, insecure fool who needs the affirmation of anonymous strangers to make it through the day. Like all of us

Actually, I'm a dude. Look.

Hey, that's why I'm anonymous. And when I say that I'm way ahead of the vast majority of people on the planet, I mean that my cumulative lifetime earnings will hit $2.3 million in 2021 when I'll be 60 years old. Not the top of the heap but I've never been hungry.

Now this is helpful info. That's what we're on track for this year but it is closer to a 50% uptick.

You mean what HE'S on track for.

Wrong again! My salary is included in that as well. It's certainly not nothing think 6 figures not 7, but yes you're right, he is the main breadwinner.
