I wish I had known which teacher to request for DD. Contrary to the poster who marked this as bad advice, I think it makes a great deal of difference. I heard fabulous things about teachers and felt confident about DD's progression through sixth grade. When changes were made parents were informed through an email and there was no further communication until the start of the school year. I knew immediately DD was with the wrong teacher and there is nothing I can do except wait for the end of the school year.

The cafeteria food is cafeteria food, kind of bland, but a decent variety of choices.
The bus DD takes has never arrived anywhere close to the scheduled time in the afternoon (always very late).
OP wanted flaws and that's really all I've got. We've been really pleased with the school and DD loves it.

The cafeteria food IS mediocre, fwiw.
