OP, you should get out of your sister's bosses business before you get her fired. She deserves to be fired after giving out all this info.

What exactly do you and 10:08 get out of being such dicks?

Where exactly does OP get off messing around other people's finances where it's none of her business? I found her question to be utterly distasteful and yes, dumb. But since you're asking and feeling all high and mighty, what do you get out of calling someone a dick? Just curious.

I don't discuss my finances with my nanny. It's none of her business. I find it hard to believe that OP's sister's boss told her nanny that her her father pays her credit card bills and gives her X amount each month. Something is off here.

Lets track OP down and report her to ICE!

I get it. She is looking to sue someone with money for no legitimate reason. Nice try OP. That is not what America is about, you were misinformed. Is anyone else offended by this? If I had money, I certainly would be!

no it's not. someone just has to pay taxes on it.

And only after you exceed the $5 million lifetime exemption. Of course, the individual in question can give $13,000 per year each to his children, their spouses, and his grandchildren. I've lost track, but it sounds like there are at least two children, who I presume have spouses, and four grandchildren. So he can give 8 x $13,000 or $104K per year without any tax penalty.

And if he is married, he and his spouse can each give $13,000 a year (or $26,000 as a couple) to each child, spouse and grandchild without it counting against their lifetime estate tax exemption. BTW, the gift recipient doesn't have to be a relative, it can be anyone.

op is saying he gives each kid 10k MONTHLY. Don't think she knows what she's talking about.

My friend's father gives his sons and daughters enough tuition money to pay for their childrens' private school.

Each one has at least one kid; there are 9 in the family.

Is THAT illegal considering private school tuition is $30K?

No, not if the grandparent pays the school directly. That goes for health insurance premiums, too.

He's actually a fool if he's got that kind of net worth and is employing someone under the table and/or someone who may not legally work here. So, yammering class, that's pretty unlikely.

OP why don't you tell him what a bunch of anonymous posters on a website think he is worth, and ask him to pay your sister accordingly.

It's his money. He can spend it how he wants. And also - how could anyone know based on the info you gave? You're both creepy and dumb.
