Oh! I love this argument! PP, you do realize if your parents not been old when they had you, you wouldn't have existed right?
This thread is 9 years old. Pretty sure the OP is well past menopause now and comfortably retired.
Probably dead.
TTC in your 50s is nothing but pure selfishness.
because people like you are 50 decades earlier

The chances of a young obese woman not being around in 20 years is far greater than that of a healthy, active 50 year old.
this is absolutely preposterous. even morbidly obese 20 year old has a greater chance to live another 20 years than a healthy, active 50 year old.

more women over 50 are ttc
i know a woman who got naturally pregnant at 56 and then was helped by a doctor to keep the pregnancy viable and she had a healthy baby at almost 57
Geez that is tough for the kid and parent- when you are 13 your mom is 70?!?! And you have to chase after a 4 year old at 61? I don’t care what people say that is exhausting.
it would depend on the individual. some people are fit at 70, others are not.
You might be 'fit' at 70 but you're still old. Too old to have a child in middle school.
JFC.

Well, I don't consider myself an old lady. I'm not 80 or 90, for chrissakes.
You will be an old lady when your child is in his or her 20's if not already dead. Anyone who has a child so late in life is not thinking about the future of that child at all. They are only thinking of themselves. There are age cutoffs at these clinics for a reason. Having a child in your 50's is absolutely ridiculous.

Anonymous wrote:16:04 - original poster of this message. And you are absolutely, 100% wrong. My parents met ALL my needs plus more. My parents were the best parents around. The amount of love they showed me was endless. But I have an 80 year old father who suffered a debilitating stroke. I have watched him go downhill for the past 4 years. I am in my early 30s and have been unable to have a child yet. I pray he makes it to see his grandchild. I also would like him to be around a lot longer but that likely won't happen.
So before you spew your vile hatred and petty judgment on someone's post, why don't you ask them for clarification. You sound completely ignorant and selfish yourself.
