Eastern Market/Capitol Hill...perfect hybrid of nice walkability, restaurants, and VERY family friendly. Also, conveniently placed and Metro friendly.

Sorry, just fantasizing and sharing my wish list!

You forgot the maid and nanny. true story.

A vote for Mt. Pleasant. Park, Metro, big houses, some with yards, close to town. Like an edgier version of Cleveland Park.

Nashville so I could be close to my family. But if I could move my family with me, I would rather we all went to Princeton, NJ.

If money and school was of no concern, I would move into the historic center of Capitol Hill in one of the corner houses with the wraparound yards.

To me, Capitol Hill has it all - tons of kids, really down to earth community, smart interesting people, nice food and shopping, and close to the Mall and all DC has to offer.

I love the houses in Tenleytown, but not the community. When we go there on the weekend, we see tons of Latino workers doing yard and house work. I want to live somewhere where people do their OWN yard work.

Now that you mention it that would be pretty sweet. But I wouldn't want my kids driving at all until they're old enough to leave, so I'm back to AU Park again, which is where I live now. I guess I'm ultimately where I want to be, if I have to stay in DC area.

If money was absolutely no object? That's easy: Oak Bluff, MV, MA.

The oldest kid would be shipped off to boarding school in 9 seconds flat.

If money and school/work logistics were of no concern, I would live in or near Winchester VA.

I love Old Town Alexandria. 2nd choice is Leesburg. I've always liked Historic districts.
