This! For my 40th birthday, I tossed all my bras and bought some nice high end bras. It's made all the difference.
An angel loses its wings every time a 40+ wears a saggy bra.
Oooo - great idea! Where did you find yours? I need a bday shopping spree!

I wear whatever the heck I want to wear. If I want to wear skinny jeans I wear them, if I want to wear something low cut, who cares? If I feel fat and just want to wear a big Tshirt and sweats, I do. Why do you need to find a different wardrobe to TRY TO stay hip just because you aRe 40+? Just be yourself and where what looks good on you and/or whatever goes with your mood. I did this when I was 20 and I do this now that I'm 40. Just love yourself and don't worry about what others think.
Me too. I'm reading the above and thinking much of it sounds 60+. That's what you get for trying to find a mold and fit into it. Try instead to find YOU.
I'll be sticking with my dark-wash jeans and graphic tees, thanks. I'll probably even keep wearing my most-favorite-ever pair of jeans with the blown-out knees from time to time. I will be making one purchase this fall: my all-stars are getting pretty ratty.
(I bet I just flipped the DC-bobs right off a bunch of Retin-a'd heads.)

cashmere sweaters

fur or faux fur vests
shooties or platform shoes
structured handbag
rich, glossy haircolor
polished makeup
This alone screams 40+ yr old mom trying to look hip.
agree!

a designer that comes to mind is michael kors. i think he does very pretty clothes that fit my above criteria.

Nothing you wrote actually SAYS anything, you realize that don't you, PP?
