Because you don't feel like it, perhaps? Because you didn't want to waste several hundred dollars? Because you don't like rings? There are plenty of reasons!
Anonymous wrote:ring wearers - do you wear your engagement ring too? that always strikes me as a little over the top.
Anonymous wrote:DH and I rarely wear ours (we've both lost our bands...he got a replacement, I'm still waiting for mine to turn up). In the beginning, I always wore my band so everyone would know that DH and I were married. Now, I don't wear any rings unless it's a special occasion and I'm dressing up.
I wonder if people see us with our kids and wonder what our 'status' is. Do you notice these things? Do you judge?

You sound like a real charmer.

I think you nailed it. Is there any other reason to wear a wedding band?
I can think of four reasons to wear it:
1 - To advertize that you are not available.
2 - To show that you manged to "get married" - a significant accomplishment in the eyes of some.
3 - You are afraid of being judged if you take it off.
4 - Everyone else is doing it.
Are there better reasons I missed?

This is a good list, except you forgot,"to show off the size of your diamond".
