08:12 - thanks - we are pressed paying under $200K and that's with about half the taxes I'm seeing here. Really not sure how we are going to make this work.
What is your HHI, where do you need to commute to and where are you living now?
$70K, and we have $15K in unusual expenses. We need to be near BW Parkway.

I see plates all the time!" is not a serious answer to "is this a big problem?" Is it a problem at the early childhood level? At charters? At High school? When and where? Is it counterbalanced by the cheaters from DC to go to MD/VA schools?
What is the scope of this problem? I am sick to death of venomous posts on this forum bitching about, let's face it, African American cheaters. It reeks of racism and classism and there is never any hard evidence and it's all just so pointless.
POINTLESS. It is pointless to bitch on here about big SUVs from MD invading DC. Maybe it makes you feel better. But other than that it's pointless. Organize and demand some real answers. Send complaints to your school. Use this forum to do something - anything - other than offer the well I know someone who knows someone pointless anecdotes.

Before they start investigating random cars with out of state tags, they should start in house with all the the teachers who have enrolled their children in DCPS while living in MD or VA.
Why should this not be a legitimate perk to the job of teaching in DCPS?
Because the rules are the rules. They don't pay DC taxes.

Well her son attends a DCPS school and I inquired did she move to DC. She said "hell no" but as long as his daddy lives in DC, I'll let'em have the DCPS thrill for awhile. But if it doesn't work out well, he'll be on PG County roles in a heartbeat.
Hence; School swapping.
