Cooper has honors classes that are open to all students, except for math which I believe you have to test into. Some families with AAP center eligible kids elect to stay at Cooper to set them up socially for high school, keeping the same friends/cliques intact. Seriously.
Whatever rocks their boat. Just thought it was strange the way the other post assumed the kids would go from Spring Hill to Longfellow AAP to Langley. Someone has to go to Cooper.

Not Langley?
Langley Forest is very pretty. You need big bucks to live there. Not sure people are really answering the question as if they hit the jackpot. And it may be intimidating to think about having the likes of Supreme Court justices for neighbors.

What happens if your kid doesn't get into AAP and has to attend Cooper instead? Do you put your home on the market and flee in the middle of the night?

It is quiet, bucolic and we see more deer and foxes than neighbors. There are no sidewalks and nothing is within walking distance and that's just fine. The schools are great and the community is tight knit because we have to work at staying in touch and connected, via play dates, activities etc. If you value privacy then you will love it here. And no, we don't hang out on DCUM where we get insulted occasionally....

Why bashing? I've heard nice things about LV.
