FCPS should scrap the SOL score requirement this year.

same situation here pp; I expected a pass advanced with no problem, but now not I'm so sure. So if DC only gets "passed" will that mean they don't get to take Algebra I next year?

Fairfax county is über competitive and like it or not - that is what sustains our excellence. It is great that folks have strong opinions on AAP -either ways. The last thing we want is apathy.

I find the people on the private/independent school forum more competitive, judgmental and scathing/snarky, so it's often tame around here in comparison

Why not? Some of us live in Arlington and find your handwringing to be hilarious. It's a great source of entertainment to watch all of these insecurities splayed nakedly on the chat board.

Of course not. Could. Care. Less. Now did little snowflake get all O's on his report card too? Or was he twice double exceptional?

I totally got it! Parody! Very Funny! I love my kids and don't care or even recall their scores (think it was in the ballpark of CogAt 148, NNAT 159, WISC Full Scale 152 with VCI 154, PRI 149, but I really don't recall because it's so unimportant to me).

You left out the GBRS.

That's SO indicative of how unimportant it is to me! GBRS was 21, but I really REALLY couldn't care less!

There's a great one (can't remember which) were a parent is accusing one AAP school of having kids in it that are reading 2 years below grade level.

My dc got a COGAT of 1 and a NNAT of 2.

I think that means he spelled his name rite. (get it, I misspelled it.)

Those scores are a little low compared to my DC's. But you just have to love them for who they are and not worry about such silliness as test scores etc.

I got that! But on the internet sometimes it's hard to tell you know.
