“I want to thank my longtime friend Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her leadership of the Democratic National Committee over the past five years. I am grateful to Debbie for getting the Democratic Party to this year’s historic convention in Philadelphia, and I know that this week’s events will be a success thanks to her hard work and leadership.
There’s simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie–which is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign’s 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other key states. I look forward to campaigning with Debbie in Florida and helping her in her re-election bid–because as President, I will need fighters like Debbie in Congress who are ready on day one to get to work for the American people.”
"Honorary chair" are the key words. It is a b-s position
She shouldn't be honored for anything, whether it's a ceremonial position or not. Clinton should be distancing herself from all of this. This is disappointing

If hope to unify the party this week, they need to send her home.
She was a polarizing figure to begin with, but after the leaks her continued presence is rubbing salt in a wound.

DWS sure isn't popular among the Florida delegation. She was booed bigtime at this morning's breakfast session.

Did you read HRC's full statement? It may or may not be a b-s position, but Debbie shouldn't be rewarded for looking right into the cameras and stating that the DNC was impartial, unbiased, not working for just one candidate, etc. Those were lies, so why does Hillary want her around? Sanders' supporters should be outraged.
I agree with every word you say but Hillary's motivation is to get DWS supporting her in FL - there are segments of the electorate in FL who love DWS, hard as it may be to believe.
What group loves a liar?
Well considering that Floridians also elected Rick Scott (twice!), it's hard to understand exactly what they're thinking, but it doesn't appear to follow common sense.
