Wow. I've never said this to anyone on DCUM before but you are legitimately a bad person.

The boys were both in ill health and I was not able to pay the hefty (>2K) vet bill to "fix" them.
I have had dogs all my life -- I am 43 and put one other dog down before these two came along so I'm not immune.
But go ahead and judge... I really don't care what you think. I am at peace and yes, my stress has reduced and my house is cleaner and I can focus on my two children and spouse.
And trust me, I have NO interest in getting a pet any time soon. I am burned out at this point.

You need to take responsibility for them and stop being an asshole. Yes I said it...a self centered careless asshole.
Anonymous wrote:She has had them for ten years ! OP, is the dog with hip dysplasia on pain? We had to put our German Shepherd down before he was a yr. old when I was growing up. Call an animal rescue center and talk with someone and see if they have any suggestions. I don't believe any vet would put down a healthy dog or one that is simply old but not on any pain. As they are litter mates they might grieve themselves to death, if separated. Good luck and I hope you find a good solution .
