You chose to become a pre school teacher. For every kid poop you see, you see joy, laughter and growth. We don't spend time with those dogs when they are being cute, we just get the poop. It's also developmentally appropriate for kids to poop themselves. Dogs are ALWAYS supposed to be picked up afterwards. You really can't see the difference?
Why can't dog owners just be responsible instead of expecting other people to cut them slack all the time? It's kind of pathetic.
I am a responsible dog owner, that is why I am asking you to get ME some slack and others like me. Seriously I get that dog haters just hate all dogs and their owners because of the bad ones out there (for which I do not excuse their behavior so stop acting like that is what I am saying!) but don't pretend it is rational to say we are all that way...
about the teacher comment- I was not only referring to accidents- I was talking about how kids get in lots of messes that is not even their own! I had a 3 year old moon walk through vomit once (and while utterly disgusting and a huge mess to clean up I thought it was hilarious!) So how come as a teacher a child covered in poop is magical but for a parent it is rage at an entire species and their owners?
Oh, who cares? You're putting entirely too much thought into a rant. Go back to work.

Maybe there are less responsible dog owners in the district, but where I live people clean up after their dogs and no one goes around ranting about how evil and gross the animals are. I am sorry that this happened to you OP, people should clean up after their dogs (and contrary to the belief of this forum, a majority of them do!)but the intolerance towards dogs and their owners is just as disgusting. Please don't raise you children to harbor this much contempt towards animals and their owners.
Yes poop is gross, I was a preschool teacher I have cleaned up other people's children who were covered in poop! That is kinda the job, kids are messy and they get into messy things-I had a whole class once obsessed with animal poop so we made identification cards- deer poop, raccoon poop (looks surprisingly like dog poop!) when my class stepped in this kind of poop I couldn't to blame the animals or the park ranger for not keeping them off our playground, and definitely not the kids. I sorta would hope moms to be like us preschool teachers, when things get crazy and messy you have to laugh it off and roll with it, instead of going on a dog hating tirade and buying overpriced floor mats.
NP. it isn't about dogs. it's about the lazy, entitled, self-absorbed dog owners who aren't considerate enough to clean up their dog's sh$t. It's about the fact that these stupid dog owners don't care that someone, a child, an adult, another dog, will step onto that dog sh$t. And it's the fact that you can't go a single day without seeing some dog sh$t on the ground. It's disgusting and offensive. You're asking people to laugh off the laziness and offensiveness of these dog owners? There's no parallel with your preschool kids or to raccoons who poop - they don't know better. Same can't be said for those dog owners who don't pick up their dog's sh$t. They're just rude and inconsiderate.

Dog owner here. Take a picture. Seriously. Then you become the crazy person they don't want to f*ck with. Which is fine, since we all know they are trash to not pick up. Do with the photo what you will. The internet is a great place for it. Googling sites for embarrassing photos now.

Again, there's a difference between human beings and dogs. And you chose your job, which included having to deal with little human beings' poop. Also a difference when you become a parent, knowing you will have to deal with poop.
Those of us who don't choose to live with a dog expect not to have to deal with dog poop and don't want our things to be ruined by dog poop (which we encounter due to bad owners). Period. It's not hard to understand.
