Great logic. Rush can attack anyone because (a) his attack is self-fulfilling, and (2) he is turning them into millionaires, so what's the harm?

Rush attacked this woman to shut her up. He and his supporters would like to stop the free exchange of ideas. This in their opinion can be done by attacking, belittling, dispraising anyone who expresses thoughts, ideas or opinions contrary to the conservative orthodoxy. It may not stop the current person, but it gives pause to those who would follow. Look at how the republican presidential candidates ran from rush.
