We have paperless reimbursement for our FSAFeds. I don't bother with anything that's not processed through insurance (eligible otc stuff, etc) because we always hit our cap with various copays, deductibles, glasses, dental, etc. from the sounds of it, I'm just lucky that our agency does this? Do other agencies not offer it? I've never had something denied.

I have two children who receive Remicade infusions for Crohn's disease every eight weeks. We pay a $50 copay for each child every time they're infused. FSAFEDS denies the claim that's automatically submitted (because it's a copay) every time saying the claims are duplicative. Sometimes, even when I submit the claim manually, they say the claims are duplicative. I've called to speak to reps and managers, but none of them seem to be able to understand that TWO kids with TWO different names are receiving the same treatment on the same day with the same copay. It's tedious and ridiculous. Does anyone know if OPM has a place to send feedback for the FSAFEDS contractor? FSAFEDS used to be much easier to deal with, but the last year or so, not so much.

I lost 1500 dollars two years ago. once someone denies a claim itis hell to get is allowed. I had tow crowns on my mouth costing me $800 out of pocked where the insurance only paid half. FSA would not pay. They act as if it is theirs. I want to know where the left over money I lost went.

We are having the same issue. over a dozen claims submitted and all denied multiple times for spurious reasons. when we resubmit with requested info, they then deny for a previous reason that had already been addressed. this was my first year in program and will absolutely not be doing it again. very frustrating to have to go through this level of frustration and bs to get MY money back.

First year using FSA and last. I have used wageworks at a previous job and my claims where never denied. Even when I accidentally submitted the same receipt twice. FSA randomly decides that my medication receipts aren't good enough some months and others it is fine. Are you freaking kidding me? I'm never using them again. I'm going to lose a few bucks, not a lot but still.

Not all government agencies participate in the online claim submission system.

Really? So you can't access it when you log onto FSAFeds website? It is just disabled for certain agencies?

Did not renew this year. I don't have daycare anymore and the whole sh!tty process is not worth the saving on a couple grands max for HC.

I didn't read this whole thread, but why in this day and age is FSA Feds so paper based and antiquated? Can't they figure out a way to accept scanned documents?

I had a non-government FSA a decade ago, and it was linked to a special debit card so I never had to send any paperwork, all my claims were accepted or denied instantly at the POS terminal.

We are feds and gave up on FSAFeds several years ago. It's easier just to itemize our health expenses on our taxes!!! lol.

FSFeds would save us money to deduct pre-tax but it took so long and I had to work so hard to get our own money back that it was just not worth it Have done several different FSA plans over the last few jobs in different states, and this one is the absolute worst.

FSA Feds is an absolute nightmare. I have spent hours of my time over the last year resubmitting denied claims - all for things that are eligible! What others have said is true, they will deny even though you've submitted everything they've asked for (e.g. EOB, receipt, etc.). They will FIND a way to deny you and waste your time. Not worth it.

My non Fed FSA was great--until this year when they too started denying everything. I'm not sure what I could possibly be "buying" from my urologist that wouldn't be covered, but "denied."

I also considered not signing up, but I did it anyway because I'm thrifty and it did ultimately save me money (just not time).

FSA Feds is so broke. You go crazy trying to fill out forms and find supporting documentation all just to get your own money back. Don't even get me started on their horrible web site.

If you've got tons of spare time on your hands than this is the program for you, otherwise if you've got a busy home life with family/kids avoid taking on this huge chore.

I have a different FSA separate from FSA Feds and it's SO easy to use. I just swipe my credit card. No hassle, no receipts at all. And on the rare occasion the credit card is denied (when something is OTC and needs a prescription to be covered), it's been super easy to submit claims.
