$82k for a small federal consulting company. But that's at a 32 hour work week and great flexibility to work from home at times.

185K attorney in private practice. I'm underpaid for my practice area, but that is balanced out by flexible hours and manageable level of stress.

I only make 38K working as a "coordinator" at a college, though I get free grad school (via tuition remission). We're poor but cheap.

I sah but did work as a therapist making 45k.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

80K is pretty darn good for an bachelor's degree (or associates). Many physicians make $150K or less and have at least 7 years more training than you do.

Real estate agent. $612,000 before expenses for 2011. After expenses, probably around $550,000. Master's degree in public finance. If I had taken a government job would probably have capped around $120,000.

I make about $35K or so per year working 30 hours/week, most of it from home. At my previous job, I was making just below $50K as an assistant at a non-profit. I had been told as I was leaving for maternity leave a promotion was in my future in the field I studied in college and grad school only to come back to a crummy financial situation and the job I was in "downsized" I spent the next 2 years miserable in different departments in that non-profit and finally decided I'd had enough and went part-time working for a friend's company. I don't make big bucks, but my salary allows us to put some money aside for retirement and savings. I wouldn't cut it as a SAHM, anyway - working PT works best for me. I have a lot of flexibility and work around my daughter's school schedule.

Don't nurses have great flexible schedules? Or do you work 5 days a week?
