Poverty wages for DMV area. Must be married to someone who makes money or come from money. Normal people doing it’s broke. Admin also wants perfection and works you hard to make sure the elite are pleased. Horrible job.

My workload was higher at private. I also had a 90-minute longer base workday and absolutely none of that “academic freedom” that the Private Uber Alles crowd loves to champion.

Teachers in public school should be paid well. I always thought Private school charging so much tuition should pay teachers well. Now, I realized if the teachers aren't any better, why bother to send kids to private school for such high tuition??!!
