J-Lo's secret sauce is her skin. WOW, that woman has amazing skin and I'd argue that she has gotten much more attractive as she has gotten older, though that probably has more to do with cosmetic procedures and her weight loss. Being just a tad overweight can really pack on the years, especially if you collect around your belly.

I was a model in NYC and did my rounds all over the globe from 17-22 and I definitly come from a place where looks matter. However, at the ripe old age of 23, I had to move over and let the youger crowd have their time in the spotlight.

What is important is that you take care of yourself, your skin (which really needs to start in your teens by staying OUT of the sun), exercise, keep your weight in check, and age with GRACE. Grace is not only a look, but an attitude and the way you carry yourself. The worst thing you can do is try to look at act like a 20 something, which translates into desparation.

Oh and, BTW, women in their late 30s can look amazing. Sophia Varga? Hello! If you are a hetro man of any age and don't think this is hot, then I question your sexual preference

Woman here. My mom is drop-dead gorgeous (as in supermodel looks) and always dressed up to the nines and even in my early twenties (early fifties for her) men hardly holder than me would hit on her. Not sure whether they realized she was old enough to be their mom.

The funniest one was one time when we were walking down the street in a European city and a young guy in a Porsche pulled up alongside us, rolled down his window and asked her if she would have dinner with him. Is OP single, and worrying that as she ages she will be less likely to attract a mate? Or is she married and just worried that some random frat boy like Glover Park dude won't want to bang her (boo hoo)? If it is the latter, it is kind of sad. I didn't marry until I was over 40. In fact, I didn't date much until I turned 35, and stopped chasing frat boys. Not all men are looking for the same thing. And what they are attracted to for a one night stand is not the same thing they are attracted to for a life partner.

OP, I apologize for posting as a woman, but this is a sensitive subject for me, and I just wanted to share a couple thoughts.

Yesterday, when I brought my 14 and 13 year old daughters to the orthodontist to get their braces on, the receptionist thought I was there to get MY braces on. It took a bit before I could convince her I was their mother. The waiting room had a good laugh, especially because I'm pregnant, though I don't think she could see my tummy under the counter.

I am always carded hard, always mistaken for the babysitter. I've never worn sunscreen or makeup in my life, and I'm not in perfect shape. I just look young.

But I'm 35 now, and I had a hard time on my birthday, because it hit me that I was AMA now. I will get old. I will not always have babies.

As a military wife, I could recount dozens and dozens of conversations with other military wives who were spending deployment pay on plastic surgery. These were women in their 20s and early 30s, getting breast enlargements and tummy tucks with their husband's enthusiastic approval. I bit my lip and thought, "Don't these men know THEY are going to get old, too?"

I don't understand this whole issue, though becoming AMA gave me a tiny hint as to why this might be so upsetting to some people. Maybe it's our porn-saturated society, I don't know. I do know this, OP. What is important is love. Think of Mother Teresa's ancient face, and how people raved about the aura of peace and love around her. That is all you need to focus on.

If you're asking whether the average woman is more physically attractive when she's younger, of course. So I guess that younger women are generally more attractive, but that's a pretty broad brush.

Younger women tend to be more attractive for the obvious reasons, but those factors aren't everything. There are lots of women I couldn't stand talking to long enough to get naked. And once I've been intimate (even kissing), those impressions and experiences tend to dominate. My DW doesn't look much like a porn star, but she's almost all I fantasize about.
