I'm with you! I've never visited DCUM before, but now I realize that everything I've heard about it is true-- a ton of rude folks looking to stir things up with no real objective information to share. If you don't like a blog, then don't read it. Simple. If you do, feel free to share it. Wasn't that the point of the original message in this thread.
Don't think I'll be returning here. For all the talk about people being full of themselves on their blogs, I'm thinking some self-reflection is ironically much in need!
So...let me get this right...if somebody says, I love "x" blog b/c of this, I'm not allowed to say, well, I hate "x" blog b/c of this...?
Self-reflection typically requires some discomfort...including criticism. I'm one of the posters who is negative to the former big law blogger. She has done quite a lot of self-promotion on this site. Why shouldn't I be able to say - as a biglaw attorney and mom, I don't like her and here are my reasons why? Seems to me that if you were really interested in self-reflection, you'd welcome criticism...

That being said, I'm a big fan of the great brains who used to write for DC Metro Moms. I also lurrrvvveee Rants from Mommyland.

ME-OW! Are you the butihave author? If not, why such a bitchy comment? If you are, I have to break it to you that eating hot dogs is not a sound weight loss plan. LOL
No, not the author, just a former biglaw attorney with kids who hated bitchy female partners, like the PP. They do other female lawyers no favors and are usually the most unsympathetic to women who want more of a work/life balance.

Anonymous wrote:Is a Parent in Silver Spring a blog or a long paid advertisement for various companies? Everything seems to be sponsored. Not that there is anything wrong with that but it sort of reminds me of those flyers you get in the mail that have all the coupons.
