28 - 1st try
31 - 1st try (mc at 11 weeks)
31 - 1st try (waited one cycle after mc)

Before trying I did track my cycle/ovulation for several months before and for the second and third pregnancy and I used ovulation monitors because we were trying the sheltes method. I'm glad I used the ovulation monitors because I ovulate late in my cycle.

I'm 35 and got pregnant on my third cycle. I used Pre-Seed lubricant and timed very carefully (tracking with Taking Charge of Your Fertility). I also worked on de-stressing through yoga and meditation, and I swear more than anything that helped. Good luck!

15-16 years later and everything is turning out ok? I might look at it as a blessing. I also at some point might stop beating myself around the head for being a teenage mother and instead appreciate what positive things that having that child did for the last decade and a half.

It isn't analogous at all, but I dropped out of college. I recently went back and finished after almost ten years out. Looking back, it was the best move I ever made (dropping out). Helped my career, my relationship, my life. Especially since going back and finishing, people have told me how much I must have regretted dropping out in the first place. Nope, not at all. May have seemed like a bad idea at the time, but especially after years of good things, I count it as a blessing. To estimate how I might feel in the op's shoes, I
Multiply how I feel times a million. I dont think she needs your judgment.

Is #1 a typo? It reads like you were 15 years old when you had child #1.

No, looks like it isn't. Why would you assume that to be a typo?

Because she says that it was a "complete blessing". I think most people would agree that a baby at 15 years old is not a "complete blessing". There might be good things come out of it, possibly. But, this not what anyone would want for their child.

these 'oops' babies confuse me. especially coming from women who already have kids. i kind of think - either you're trying or you're not. if you're not using bc, you're trying IMO. anyone agree? (this doesn't apply to people who, for example, have been told they can't have kids unassisted)

there's a lot of "got really drunk one night and forgot to take pill/put on condom/etc" going on ... yes, even when married (especially when married, actually!)

I love TCOYF, but it doesn't seem to be too useful for me. My temps have been all over the place, so it's impossible to see a pattern. That said,

33 - 1 month
40 - 3 months

So clearly I'm ovulating.

33 - 5 months with Metformin
36 - 1.5 years, tried Metformin, Clomid, IUI, finally had to do IVF.
