If his company is covering the cost for transportation back home then he shouldn’t need to be driven at all.

My DH left his car at the airport parking lot. I never picked him up.

I almost always fly out of DCA or take Amtrak, and we live 5 mins from a Metro station, so usually I just Metro home. Sometimes my husband might offer to pick me up, in which case I’m not going to turn him down.

If I fly out of IAD or BWI, I just drive and park there.
