what was the age difference of your parents?
My dad born in 1945, is 81 and is silent. My mom born in 1948 is boomer.
Yep. It’s silly to use a specific time stamp. There are silent generation, boomer and Gen X parents who are in poor health and many in great health. As we all get older it can go either way. My mother is silent generation I guess, 82, and is in incredible health. She lives alone, she’s a widow now and raised six kids. She has helped me her whole life with babysitting, cleaning, just being there. I never asked her to clean she just always come to the house early and couldn’t sit still. No housekeeper when she’s capable of doing it herself. Any way a person can stay active and useful gives you better odds of staying in better shape as you age.
I feel bad for the posters who had bad relationships with their parents and hope they can break that cycle.
