You can submit 1400 to some on your list. I’d ask them directly if you should submit.

Definitely Middlebury and Hamilton

Definitely in which sense?

Agree. Wake isn't turning away strong students who apply ED so long as they don't have major disciplinary or legal issues.

We saw a few with a similar profile deferred to RD this year, but the one that kept his application active was accepted in RD.

Davidson is a much higher level of competitive than those others, and is harder than Wake, W&M, W&L ED. Even ED Davidson is a big reach.

Try Tulane, Dickinson for easier admits than Wake and WM.
Colby is not going to be a fit based on description

This analysis placed Davidson 54th nationally by selectivity:

https://wallethub.com/edu/e/college-rankings/40750

For comparison, Colgate placed 40th.

Old data. Davidson admit rate 12% this year. Last year it was 12.7% while Colgate was over 17%. This student is likely not getting in without a hook.

The site's selectivity ranking doesn't rely solely on comparative acceptance rates, however.

lol, everyone from our private gets in, kids just need to apply ED and be in the top half of a decent private. Don’t know why you are belaboring this. Don’t even need to submit test scores.

Dream on. Data doesn’t lie. Clearly you do.

General, national admissions data is very different than specific data by high school. It may not seem fair, but private school admissions can have unique outcomes. At ours, there’s a certain liberal arts college with a below 30% overall acceptance rate that accepts over 70% of applicants from our school.

This poster must have a similar situation with Davidson and their school. I checked Davidson for our school out of curiosity and they accepted 4 out of 5 applicants in the last 6 years (6 out of 10 in the last 10 years with an average GPA of 3.8).

Davidson admits close to 70 percent of its class ED. It is a relatively easy admit ED if coming from a well regarded private, sorry that is upsetting to you. However, that is not a lie even though you seem to be having a lot of trouble accepting it.

Davidson has the same exact median test scores as the other schools discussed with the vast majority of enrolled kids submitting none. That’s the data.
