“Every kid at Carson would have…” you do understand that the school is huge and highly
Segregated by pod? In fact, many middle schools are. Not every kid is connected. And much like a lot of the split feeders, kids don’t always connect with the wider school outside of their classes. From what I hear, the 8th grade dance and all dances are hardly attended compared to overall population. The resistance here is huge. This is why Carson is problematic and Carson parents are problematic and this is why admin never has to be responsive. What would admin waste time creating a responsive and appropriate culture at school that demands young women not be assaulted? The parents in an effort to protect their dear treasure of AAP feeder to TJ will dismiss any whiff of impropriety. Reputation above all. Reputation above responsiveness.

Exactly. No way. Every kid at Carson would have seen a video of a fight at school.

I doubt it happened, maybe some shoving. If there was a group attack on one kid we would have gotten an email about a fight. I would guess that the kid was smacking girls on the butt, not groping or pinching, and that the kid got shoved around a bit.

I cannot imagine something like this happened without all the kids hearing about it.

Yes. It was real. In B pod. If your kids are not in B pod or didn’t empty out into that hall, then they didn’t see it. My son didn’t see it, but our neighbor Sun did. They are on two separate teams that meet in two separate pods.

Post 05/18/2026 06:19     Subject: Re:Sexual Assaults @ Carson Dance then Fight today

I had several experience with sexual assault on public transportation in Italy, my response both time was to knee the men very hard in the groin. No one came to help, some men in Italy like to masterbate on women on public transportation, most of them women in my program had this problem. So there was plenty of evidence as to what was happening.

Teach your daughters to yell loudly at the jerk doing it and to smack to person or knee them in the groin. If a dude moaning on the ground with an exposed penis was the one getting sympathy, what makes you think people are going to respond to a teenager smacking girls on the butt? I am guessing that is what happened since the post referenced butts and being clothed.

The answer isn’t to organize a beat down, which I doubt happened or was discussed more then avague theory of an idea, it is to embarrass the crap out of the person in the moment or to cause them pain in the moment. You tell an adult, which it sounds like they did, after you yell at the idiot or knee him in the groin or both.

Given the behaviors in school lately and how schools pass it off, I am surprised this doesn’t happen more often.

Which political party controls our school policy?

People who have experience there share their experiences because they know that it is a normal MS and that the poor experiences of a few are not the experiences of the majority of kids.

The constant “Carson sucks here is this months example” topic is a bit too much of crying wolf.

It sounds like Carson parents are the ones who start a thread about every incident that takes place at Carson. Parents at other schools aren’t tracking Carson fights, bus incidents, and principal emails.

EXACTLY. RIO mommas trying to convince other parents that Franklin-Oakton is their saving grace. We all know there are fights at Franklin, too. Just nobody posts about them here.

They’ll get to Franklin and realize how bad it is compared to Carson and be begging to go back. lol.

The funny part is that the ones I know have kids in Carson AAP so, no, they won't be moving to Franklin, they will be staying at Carson. They are the epitome of wanting other people's kids to move to a less desirable school so that their kids can stay where they want them to stay. Crossfield sports families are so stupid and clueless, they're just following along like sheep.

Why? Franklin has AAP and in a few years, there will not be a choice to attend Carson for AAP if you are zoned to Franklin.

The leaders of RIO have late elementary/middle school children. Their kids will be in high school by the time this happens.

Amazing! Franklin has had AAP for at least 15 years. These must be time-traveling kids if they think they must go to Carson for AAP.

DP. Don't be dense. PP was clearly talking about making every middle school an AAP center in a few years, which would eliminate Carson as an option for Franklin AAP students.

There are 265 Franklin-zoned kids at Carson this year.

And they won’t all fit back at Franklin when Crossfield swoops in to Franklin. That’s why a lot of current Franklin MS students got rezoned to different middle schools in the scenarios.

You seem to think that Oak Hill won't be moved to Carson. I'm thinking that if Carson does move to Franklin that Oak Hill will move to Carson. But, if Crossfield stays at Carson/Skyview, then Oak Hill may stay at Franklin until they can move Fox Mill out.

I don’t know anything about the incident, but those of you encouraging for the boy to be assaulted: how would you feel if you found out that the reported incidents were manufactured? Do you have an actual footage? You do realize that group bullying and false accusations are rampant in middle schools?

We really need more cameras at schools. If the boy really did what he is being accused for, the offense should be reported to the police. This is not a minor issue that should be left to schools to deal with. And, if he didn’t do anything wrong, those who accused him should be reported to the police as well.

The people who know about the sexual assault should report it, in writing, to the school administration and cc the superintendent. That report should include information about reporting it at the dance and the fact that the perpetrator kept doing it while the adults present did nothing to prevent him.

What the people who know about the assault should do depends, for me, on how badly he was injured. If he’s not hospitalized or permanently damaged, then I would not encourage them to come forward. In fact, they were all with me at the time of the assault and none of them were present.
