I doubt it happened, maybe some shoving. If there was a group attack on one kid we would have gotten an email about a fight. I would guess that the kid was smacking girls on the butt, not groping or pinching, and that the kid got shoved around a bit.

Given the behaviors in school lately and how schools pass it off, I am surprised this doesn’t happen more often.

It has the same problems that every MS has, hormonal teens that make poor choices and can treat each other awfully. The difference is that if there is a fight at Carson, someone starts a topic about it. If there is a problem on the bus, someone starts a topic on it. If the principal sends an email home, someone starts a topic on it. All of this is happening at every other MS in the country but the anti-Carson crowd seems to think that it is strangely unique to Carson and a demonstration of some failing.
Some folks seem to have this weird drive to prove that Carson is awful.
People who have experience there share their experiences because they know that it is a normal MS and that the poor experiences of a few are not the experiences of the majority of kids.
The constant “Carson sucks here is this months example” topic is a bit too much of crying wolf.
It sounds like Carson parents are the ones who start a thread about every incident that takes place at Carson. Parents at other schools aren’t tracking Carson fights, bus incidents, and principal emails.
EXACTLY. RIO mommas trying to convince other parents that Franklin-Oakton is their saving grace. We all know there are fights at Franklin, too. Just nobody posts about them here.
They’ll get to Franklin and realize how bad it is compared to Carson and be begging to go back. lol.
The funny part is that the ones I know have kids in Carson AAP so, no, they won't be moving to Franklin, they will be staying at Carson. They are the epitome of wanting other people's kids to move to a less desirable school so that their kids can stay where they want them to stay. Crossfield sports families are so stupid and clueless, they're just following along like sheep.
Why? Franklin has AAP and in a few years, there will not be a choice to attend Carson for AAP if you are zoned to Franklin.
The leaders of RIO have late elementary/middle school children. Their kids will be in high school by the time this happens.
Amazing! Franklin has had AAP for at least 15 years. These must be time-traveling kids if they think they must go to Carson for AAP.
DP. Don't be dense. PP was clearly talking about making every middle school an AAP center in a few years, which would eliminate Carson as an option for Franklin AAP students.
There are 265 Franklin-zoned kids at Carson this year.
And they won’t all fit back at Franklin when Crossfield swoops in to Franklin. That’s why a lot of current Franklin MS students got rezoned to different middle schools in the scenarios.
