I have no clue how they are as a club overall in regards to coaching/development, but they put together some talented teams.

The only ECNL team in the area ranked higher than them is FVU, yet MDU U13s are 7th in NA. There are only 2 GA teams in the area ranked higher, one of which they beat in Jeff Cup and the other is a North Mid Atlantic team in MD.

Good teams find ways to win. 5-6-8 is a terrible record with more losses and ties than wins. They aren’t even the top team in MD at their age group and their ranking doesn’t match their results. I will say however say that they are probably one of the better MDU teams overall and that the NA is in fact more competitive than MA.

For all of their faults, I would put them up against any GA team. BSC is obviously #1 but MDU is the second best in the state which I guess counts for something.

I'm a BSC parent and always felt like when we play them they are so predictable. No scoring threats either, they just don't work the ball up the field. My daughter is moving down with the age group change so we won't see them anymore.

Probably behind Celtic (mostly the former Old Line kids), but otherwise this is spot on (my daughter also moving to the younger AG!)

The 2011 MDU ECNL is a good team, they have had bad luck in terms of injuries the past few years. I am hearing their roster is looking really strong for next year and only a couple of players left to go elsewhere. Coppermine 2011 is looking good as well. Betheseda and Pipeline 2011 ECNL not so much. I have not heard anything about Celtic or Armour 2011.

Are you also hearing that 2011 MDU ECNL best player is leaving? Calling them a good team and putting Bethesda and Pipeline 2011 ECNL in the same group of 'not so much' shows you have no idea what you're talking about. You have not heard anything about the only other GA teams. Thanks!

Why do you people bother commenting here? It's hard enough we have to listen to this clueless stream of consciousness on the sidelines, please spare us this mush of nothing here.

Who is this so called best player. I assume going to Bethesda

Penn Fusion. People would rather drive 100 miles if given the opportunity. Should speak volumes to their coach but it won't, his ego is far too big. But hey at least he picked up another McD girl lol

Driving a 100 miles to play for Penn Fusion, that's Crazy!! I guess she will be studying, eating and sleeping in the car, no time for much else. I would think you would be better off going To Arlington, Coppermine or BSC. Maybe they are moving to PA...

One way (for point of reference let's use HCs school)
to Penn Fusion 84 miles
to Soccerplex for Bethesda 53 miles
to Long Bridge Park for Arlington 52 miles

whats an extra 30miles

When we were at MDU, we had one player traveling from ocean city. So it definitely happens. Whatever works for you is what’s best.

Do you know if anyone from the RL team moved up this year? If HC likes picking from the outside or from his school did he see any talent from the club.

To each their own. If a parent is willing to drive 2 hours one way to practice multiple times a week, good for them. I hope it all works out for them.

As far as the team, I am sure they will be just fine. Whether she was the best player or coach favorite, it’s an opportunity for someone else to become that on the field.

MDU lost to Penn Fusion 0-5, and only lost to BSC 1-2 either she didn't play the Penn Fusion game and did BSC game or she isn't really that good of a player. I believe MDU has also been playing with a goalie that is in 7th grade starting with the Ukies game. My understanding is the goalie got hurt and is out until the next season.

That’s quite a list of excuses there. It was the gk. One player might not have played. That’s the reason for the 3-5-1 -5gd record? Bsc also beat that Penn team 4-1.

They did tie Arlington and VDA at Jeff Cup...so there is that....

Yaaaaay, clap clap clap

So you are saying there’s a chance
