Almond milk has very little calcium that we can process.

Almonds actual has more calcium, and a host of other foods, RFK Jr. Time for a nap, dear.

That not a good comparison. No one eats almonds by the cup full, multiple times per day. One 8oz cup of milk contains 300 mg of calcium. To get 300 mg of calcium in almonds you’d have to eat a cup full as well. Who would eat an entire cup of almonds? Let alone 3 cups of almonds per day- that would be 1500 calories in almonds alone.

Please name another food that has more than 300 mg of calcium per serving that someone would want to consume multiple times per day. Adults need 1000 mg of calcium per day, teens even more. Good luck getting that from plants.

Almond milk and a ton of fortified food. Yeah, milk is not necessary.

Almond milk has very little calcium- unless it’s fortified with calcium carbonate. It’s always better to get vitamins and minerals from natural sources over add synthetic vitamins.

No one synthesizes calcium carbonate. It's sea shells and limestone.

Lactose intolerant person here. Just diagnosed with mild osteoporosis. I LOVE milk but just can’t tolerate it. Thought I was getting enough nutrient through my almond milk but I was wrong.

No there is calcium in almonds and almonds milk. In fact, more calcium.

Right.

Sounds more like because they eat loads of cheese, butter and ice cream but never "icky" milk. Seems like Americans like milk just fine, despite what they are saying in here. The milk from a bovine teat? The horror! Pass the butter.

Nutrition is far from settled science.

Yuck. I never drink milk and I do not buy it or give it to my children. I believe though that once cultured it is okay. We only consume yoghurt, cultured butter/cream and cheese.
