It doesn’t make sense to me that the aunts took her … that would mean that after Agnes’s dad called the eyes, that bearded commander called the aunts and said you need to deal with this? Then why would they be dressed up?

I did wonder if this was a mayday rescue — that what’shisname tipped off mayday and in about 15 minutes the real eyes will show up.

Assuming this isn’t a rescue, I’d guess she is being sent to a reprogramming center like Janine was. I think those are pretty effective in the short term so she may be temporarily “cured” and then quickly married off, maybe to the drunk who gave her th liquor. From there, I think she would eventually either kill herself or find her way to mayday.

What do we think happens to Thu if she never gets her period? Become an aunt? She’s a great character.

Does anyone else wonder about what happened to the real parents of alll these girls? It’s so weird and unlikely to me that none of them have any memories of their previous life. I think they were supposed to be like 5 or 6 when they were taken? They would at least have hazy memories, even accounting for the trauma.

And there was some family that talked about a baby that was taken during the mayday rebelllioj—could that be Daisy? I think at some point she’ll find some clues to her background.

This is what I think is going to happen, too. Those were definitely women who took her, not Eyes. You can tell by their bodies and they were carrying cattle prods, not guns.

No trailer yet but I've seen two purported summaries:

1) Episode 10 opens in complete shock following Dr. Grove's untimely death. Gilead officials attempt to cover up the crime, while Agnes is distraught and terrified since her best friend, Becka, has vanished totally.

2) Agnes is forced to marry. Aunt Lydia starts a war.

Someone has been posting a trailer clip that shows Becca getting married, and the costuming is different than what she was wearing in Agnes's dance dream. Of course it could be another dream sequence. We'll see!

On the one hand, they were planning a salvaging anyway. So they could conceivably argue she was righteous in her actions. Or they could simply cover it up in order to protect one of Lydia's proteges. On the other hand, a woman killing a man unsanctioned is so verboten, they could execute her or confine her and just use her womb like they did to the farmer's young wife. Becca's liminal social status makes this especially interesting. So does whatever Lydia chooses to do to intervene. We know how she feels about her girls, especially after Jezebel's.

When I saw the plot line showing Becca liking Agnes I thought we were going to see a suicide type situation with Becca. She did mention jumping off a Cliff so who knows. Maybe this thing with the eyes last night will show Agnes how bad Gilead is.

Tonight’s episode was disturbing. I didn’t see that ending coming. I can’t wait for next week. I really like this show and dread the break between seasons.
