4. The summer job is non-negotiable. Give him a deadline to find one, and if he doesn’t, no car this summer (I’m assuming you paid for it?). No phone, no WiFi, no groceries, nothing that you pay for.

You need to make a man out of this boy. Plenty of guys are fully self sufficient at age 19.

No, he is 19. I don’t believe anyone can rent a car at that age.

Not as a teen bc I bought my own car as an adult and lost keys once as an adult so it was all my responsibility. And it’s impossible to have a nice weekend bc logistically it means we might have to drive ds 10 hours round trip since no locksmith can do this tomorrow.
