CWG was explicit this morning that having the ingredients for a bad storm didn't mean there would definitely be a bad storm. They said there might be nothing, there was potential for bad storms but confidence was low.

Their confidence is low about every forecast they make

Whatever just came through Takoma was ugly af. I think we missed the harder hit of the earlier storm(s) though.


Yeah, we got some rain. Retty scary. Never had rain in this area before. Snow yes, but never rain that was completely wet.

If they thought the earlier forecast was going to be what this is turning out to be, I understand the closures/precautions.

This whole area mostly sucks at weather. We're great at mosquitos!

That’s on them. Very unfortunate for the people tasked with picking up or mopping up the pieces though.
