People were posting fake obituaries of Scott linked to spammy pages. There was also a lot of speculation that Elliot had gotten fired. It's totally fair to give a social media update saying when to tune in to find out what's happening with the show. Also just because they are off air this week doesn't mean the team is off work. I'm sure they are spending time meeting and planning for how to come back without Diane.
Diane is a treasure and I wish her peace and healing at this sad time. I hope she'll make the decision to come back when she's ready, but will respect whatever she chooses.
