No. I have one sister, and do not like her. We have never been close, and things sometimes get better, but I find her exhausting, judgmental, and passive aggressive. When my mother passes away, I expect we'll completely lose contact. I am fine with that.

No. Cannot stand them. They are explosive, greedy, dishonest. Because they are my siblings I keep getting sucked into being involved with them only to regret it. I strongly suspect they are mentally ill but there is nothing I can do about that.

Once our remaining parent dies I'm going to learn the kind of self control it takes to stay at a distance from them. They make life worse instead of better.

I love my older brother but his wife has done everything possible to cut me out of my own family, including intentionally excluding me from family events around my own mother’s funeral. My DD is terrified of my brother’s wife because she is a screamer, and my DS finds her mean.

I’ve accepted that even though I love my brother I won’t have a close relationship with him again, unless something changes.

Yes. She's incredibly kind and caring. Always has been.

I’m the middle of 5 kids. Yes, I both like and love my siblings.

I love my sister, and don’t dislike her, but we have a very shallow relationship and probably would not be friends if we weren’t related. We grew up in a functional home with still-married parents and are only 2.5 years apart in age, so I don’t even know what to point to as to why our relationship is like this other than that we just aren’t close!

My sister is a nice person, but I wouldn't consider her a real friend. She acts more like a an acquaintance. She's shown up for me in a pinch when I needed it, but then acts like I don't exist almost all the rest of the time. It's a confusing message.

I have ten siblings. I’m #9. 4 older sisters and 4 older brothers, and a younger brother, and sister. Of course, I like my older siblings, they raised me and paid attention to me!!

I would totally avoid my sister if she wasn’t my sister and in fact I avoid her as much as I can. We are polar opposites and her values are so shallow. Always dependent on others to support her.

Love and like my brother. I don’t know if we would have been friends if we weren’t related - probably not, we are too different. But he is awesome.

Same here. My sibling is a sociopath whose true colors really showed after our parents died. She acted in a very sneaky way and could not be trusted.

Sounds like my brother. I used to be close to him, but as we grew older, he just became more annoying. And then he got married, and his wife is a selfish b(tch. No one likes her. I tried to be friendly with her and invited them over for dinner and celebrations numerous times, but she she didn't seem to care for being part of the family.

I could see myself being friends with one of my sisters, but not the other. We have very different personalities and interests. But, she's 7.5 years older than me, and helped take care of me when I was little. She's also the main caregiver to our elderly parents. We really owe her.

I don't know how my kids will be in 10 years with each other, but for now (18 and 21), they are pretty close.

Yes, although I'm not sure we'd be friends if we weren't related as there just isn't that much in common. They're both good people, though.

I love my sister but we are not friends. I think she would say the same thing about me. We're very different people and grew up in a dysfunctional household. I think if our childhood was different it would be another story but we were compared and set up to compete. We weren't taught to love and support one another. While on the surface we get along okay I don't feel close to her. It is what it is. Both of us have made efforts over the years but it only goes so far.
