Protesters in the Capitol get arrested for speaking out of turn almost every day when Congress is in session. That’s part of peaceful protest and organized resistance, always has been. The difference here is that the USCP does this peacefully and professionally and doesn’t need assistance from a violent Senator.

Those particular officers sure had a tough time subduing the Marine. The man, at worst was committing the crime of trespassing. That’s a misdemeanor and does not warrant excessive use of force. A civilian does not have the right to use force against a trespasser. I hope this Senator is arrested for aggravated assault. And WTF with the third Capitol Police officer with the little top knot?
