I believe the following teams will win in their age bracket but good luck to all the teams.
* 13 = Metro 13 Travel
* 14 = Paramount 14 Jaz
* 15 = VA Juniors 15 Elite
* 16 = Paramount 16 Maureen
* 17 = Paramount 17 Nick

I don't know enough about the younger age groups to make an informed forecast, but I am comfortable predicting that if if turns out that Paramount wins 3 or 4 age groups there will be some social media posts about being the CHRVA club with the most National bids![]()

Metro 18s may have earned an Open bid today by making Gold bracket at NEQ. If confirmed, their National division bid will flow to VAJRS 18s, and so on. Other CHRVA teams are in Gold at NEQ and MEQ, but I don't know if anyone else has locked in a bid.
Metro 18s did get their open bid They made gold bracket and 5 of the 8 teams in gold already have an open bid, so the remaining 3 teams (which includes 18’Travel) earned bids.
Metro 17 Travel beat Paramount 17s for the second week in a row on Saturday. It was a really tight 3-set match. Paramount 17s seem to be struggling with injuries, with some players clearly playing at less than 100%.
I heard Paramount players are expected to play through injuries. To what extent is this true? I hesitated sending my daughter there for fear of damaging her play career or getting her burned out.
That's an odd rumor. They haven't been playing the injured players.
I read a poster saying, “Paramount 17s seem to be struggling with injuries, with some players clearly playing at less than 100%.” So I take it that injured players have to still play. Is this not true?
One player was dealing with an injury and did not play this weekend. Another player just came back from an injury, so they are not back at 100% performance yet (even though they are medically cleared to play). That player was cleared to play earlier than this past weekend and wanted to play, but the coach did not allow her to play, despite her being one of the stronger players on the team. So whoever is making up the rumor that Paramount players are forced to play through injuries by the coaching staff could not be more wrong. Makes me wonder why people feel the need to say such salacious things about a club or person?
Maybe bc the owners of paramount bash kids and families that chose to leave and go to other clubs. I’ve been told straight from the impacted parents- that Maureen calls/bashes other kids to college coaches that left her club to not recruit them. There are atleast 5 schools that I k ow refuse to recruit from paramount. You may choose not want to believe the rumors and that’s up to you but hopefully others will.
And yes… players are forced to play injured in some instances. Honestly open your eyes that club messes girls up mentally.
That could not be further from the truth. That is actually what Metro does.
Yet another thread turned into Metro vs Paramount. But what should we expect?
