As far as putting borders on AI, the new contract with open AI is even more lax than the previous one. This was all done just to benefit more billionaires.
Do you believe AI is being used to determine what organizations (eg, cartels) and countries to target?
DP. Hegseth is not wrong to get AI companies involved. The war in Ukraine is how modern war looks like. It’s all drones now. You can’t even get a tank anywhere close to the front line now. It gets destroyed by drones 15 miles before it even gets to the line of contact. Same with all armored vehicles. The kill zone is about 40 miles wide now. Even Hezbollah is using drones to kill IDF soldiers who didn’t get the memo that war has changed.
And a country like Ukraine is really struggling with manpower now. So they are all in with tech. We are only a few months away from autonomous drones being able to kill anyone within a grid.
But Ukraine is fighting for its existence. Whereas Hegseth is all about Trump and graft. Different things. History has shown that it is always a bad idea for companies to get involved with Trump.
Wouldn’t touch the Trump administration with a ten foot pole. But AI will definitely be a big part of things one way or another.
