I won't ever forget that horrible period, nor will I forget which party zealously supported covid restrictions.

It went to s##t because people came out in the open about their ageist, ableist views like this. Finding out how many around consider imperfect or older people as disposable an in the way was an eye opener. I respond accordingly. No gofundme donations for them. More directed philanthropy. And frankly I don't care about my "community" anymore because 40% are like that. Do U?

All it did was pull forward some deaths of SOME chronically unhealthy people. Plus jack up stimulus spending, stop educating kids for 12-24 mos, and create violence amongst people with nothing to do.
You fools conveniently forget about the OG covid in 2020. Nick Cordero was a DANCER and died after 95 days and an amputation. He wasn't obese, unfit. Children died on ventilators. Covid is a vascular disease.

The obese diabetic with severe heart problems can’t handle any infection. Funny how the docs put Covid to get more money as cause of deaths

So, who are you supporting?Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I know people that feel the same, but are vehemently against the current administration. FTR, most in both parties supported some form of Covid restrictions and it was the individual Universities (not a party) that imposed the most egregious ones. Some schools had more and some had less and they were more reflective of the age the people making the decisions. I also suggest that being a one issue voter is not going to help you to move forward especially since that one issue is further out with each year. Look to the future and figure out what kind of society would like to have - then make decisions based on that.Anonymous wrote:I hate how those of us who were in college during covid had 2 1/2 years of our lives stolen from us, during which we were subject to insane, nonsensical restrictions that made living a normal life impossible (which the other 99% of the population did not have to deal with, including the administrators who imposed them on us). The one issue isn’t Covid, but the judgement, ability to admit fault and learn from mistakes of the entrenched power structure of our society.

Good for you boomer. I was a new grad with almost nothing in the market when Covid happened
So was I in 9/11 and still broke in 2009. You go through few of those cycles before your turn comes.
2009 was by far the worst. Even minimum wage jobs were not available. Now you can work 3 of them.
Thats why it's worse now. The "jobs" we had were resl jobs. Now those minimum wage jobs are just gigs. You didn't need to work 3 of them. Maybe 2.
If you told me that large companies would rely on their workers using government Healthcare instead of providing an option for their employees so they could fatten their bottom line, i would have thought you were crazy then.
