Subject: Do most adults eat a snack most days?
I was born and raised in France, married an American and lived part time in the US. I never snack.

Snacking is totally fine and possibly effective if you are eating in energy balance. But most Americans aren’t. At the extreme end they are dosing themselves with refined carbohydrates so frequently they end up with “type 3 diabetes” and dementia from decades of uncontrolled blood sugar. I have an aunt and uncle like that and it’s a train wreck.

No clue because I don’t really count it, but plenty (usual breakfast is yogurt and fruit, lunch is a salad).

If I eat a large breakfast (like a brunch or on vacation) I only eat 2x a day. But on a normal day I have coffee and a small bar for breakfast, a small quick lunch, and an afternoon snack because we don’t eat dinner until my husband gets home late.

Sounds like someone who has never left the country. Tea time? Tapas?
