I don’t get this. I didn’t say they were sent on a school device. I said she is using her school device to access discord. The nudes freak me out but that’s not all that disturbs me. I want to get rid of her access to discord entirely.

And yes I’d love to come up with a plan for that.

She is using her school device to communicate with someone who may be a sexual predator. It doesn’t matter where the pics were sent from.

It has come to my attention that students, including my daughter, are using school computers to communicate with people via discord who are encouraging them to send sexual imagery. I have requested xyz steps be taken to limit access but the problem has not been resolved. I would like a guarantee that this will be prevented and/or accommodations that will enable my daughter to complete all academic work without use of an electronic device. I look forward to working with you and/or the district to address this. Please know that I have also taken steps to address this directly with my daughter (ie restricting access to all non-school electronics).

This. Like PP said, start by sending a letter stating that you no longer consent to the school system's device agreement. Do you or your DD have a therapist already?

I would have given the laptop back to the school as soon as I found this out along with an email that I officially do not consent to my child using laptops, other devices or the Internet in any capacity. A teacher will need to give her paper work so she can access the curriculum. If need be, I would get a psychologist to sign a note to that effect.

It is a pain in the a$$ but in fcps you can also go through their list of thousands of programs your kid has access to (many with chat functions accessible to any adult pervert who knows there are kids on them) and individually opt out or in.
