Well. The state could get rid of the silly Easter Monday requirement. We also have the transition day, which I actually like, but I think it should count as a day. And we don’t need full days after every quarter for grading. Those could be half days. Most of my kids’ teachers are done before that day and just have the day off. We could also have plans for virtual in the event of a very extended closure like the one we had. Lots of ways to solve this.

The transition day doesn't count because it's not for everyone. They should go back to the old system of having an optional transition 1/2 day the week before for new students - extend it to ES as well. (Previously it was for secondary students only.)
They could say it’s open to everyone but designed for certain kids.
