1 day isn't enough for run of the mill storms in the DMV. Remember last year? In general it only takes a couple inches to shut the county down, heck it only takes a couple inches in Damascus to shut it down, we've had "snow days" when Silver Spring only got rain. There's a reason MCPS used to have 4-5- they just got complacent when we had a couple really mild, snowless winter in a row.
+2 Are you new here? We had 3 snow days last year that shortchanged our kids instructional time in favor of some dopey half days where half the students who chose to attend watched videos in end-June. Playing dumb year after year gets old. MCPS just looks unprofessional.

I assume you mean in reference to the Wootton shooting. I'm not sure exactly what precedent looks like, but they should probably let MCPS Taylor take the lead for now and only weigh in once investigations and facts have settled a bit.
