They wrote why they weren't opening on Monday. The ROADS weren't Perfect. Nor are they ready for Tuesday morning to start around 8:30am for high school buses. The county is large. The roads are NOT Perfect. The sidewalks may have improved if the county began sidewalk enforcement today.
They should not be shamed for doing their job. They should close schools Tuesday too because conditions for buses have NOT changed since today.
Find a babysitter if you can't be a damn parent to your kids.
Fixed that for you. And truly, find an online school if your family can't venture outside under less than perfect conditions. Otherwise step up and demonstrate some resilliance for your own kids.

So what has your family been doing the past week and a half? Does no one need to go to the grocery store, work, etc.?
Also, there are paid online schools or homeschool options is public schools aren't working for your family. Or heck move to Florida where it doesn't snow and they offer a state online option.

LOL. My kids were happy to go to school yesterday and said all their friends were back. Hope you enjoyed another safe day at home filled with hot cocoa and cuddles.

My kids said everyone was at school. I'm sure it wasn't truly everyone, but they would have noticed if attendance was significantly down.
+1 Same here. Cite the official source that show that attendance was "dismal." You're just lmaking up stuff, because you want schools to stay closed.
I averaged about 5 kids absent per class but that's kind of normal for me in high school. I am sure some kids also were with guidance dealing with schedule issues. I'll have a more accurate idea of the effects on attendance tomorrow
