They definitely use the MCPS TV department. They might even involve students from various studio programs and/or interns. But the staff, equipment and software is already in place. Why not use it? If you have the experience, the filming and editing doesn't take that much time and it's fun for the younger kids to watch.

If it is, it will be like last year with useless half days in June and Taylor sending out an email telling parents he understands if they choose not to send their kids because no real learning will occurs. They should use some of the gazillion professional days and get some extra actual full days in teaching.

I'm admittedly biased because I can't stand him but I agree with others that it's really tone deaf in light of all the lives he's impacting with the current changes. I still can't get over telling people they're losing their position next year right before the winter holiday break. It was also just awfully cringeworthy.
